Staffing in Athletic Department

A quick look at the staffing in the department and it looks like we added positions to steer this department into the future. 

Including Brady and Ervin, the department appears to have made some solid hires.     

Jennifer Archibald has been added to the executive staff as Associate Athletic Director for Business Affairs and Senior Woman Administrator

We have a Ticket Coordinator and Ticketing and Business Services Graduate Assistant

We also have an Assistant Business Manager

I am not sure that we have ever had this type of staff in the past.

I think it's good to see.

My hope is that it's LSU living up to a commitment to give us the tools to be successful.

But it doesn't square with recent news stories (certainly not saying the media always gets it right) that indicate Athletics had to take a sizeable budget cut as part of the overall plan to improve University finances.

So we are hiring all of these people with less money overall in the department? How are managing to do that?

Not complaining, but my CPA brain says it doesn't make sense.
