26-27 Men's Basketball Schedule

The above link works fine on my iPhone and PC. However, when I try to update my Privateers app, I'm receiving the error message, "The developer of this app needs it to work with this version of IOS". I'm using IOS 26.5. I recognize that it's early in the ballgame, and a lot of tweaking will need to be done. Great job so far!

I believe this is the first game vs. the Wildcats since 1993. Remember when we played multiple games in Tucson in the early 90s and, in return, Lute Olson and the Arizona Wildcats SHOWED UP IN LAKEFRONT ARENA to play UNO in front of 10,000 people?

I like the pre conference schedule so far.   LSU and Arizona are 2 quality opponents.   We are not playing 8 money games so that is a good thing.  

Tulane, as long as Hunter is coach, will not play us anytime, anywhere.   I don't think he knows how to handle the New Olreans Privateer "Final Four" game prep against the Greenie's.     

Hopefully our full schedule is released soon.   I would love to know when and where we playing pre conference.   I would like to try to make some of the games.

Anyway, as for Tulane... allow me to express how hilarious it is, and how utterly amused I am, that Ron Hunter -- big brother!! -- is now so terrified of UNO that he will no longer play us even in his cozy little gym.



I'm glad he waited until we were able to snag the lifetime series lead before pulling the plug.  I will not miss the series personally, not in its current form.  I do miss it as a year-in-year-out home and home, but outside of that format... screw it and screw them.

Our lineup was Ervin Johnson, Melvin Simon, Gerald Williams, Reggie Garrett, Reni Mason, Tony Madison, Michael McDonald, Eric Matthews, Darren Laiche, Andre Zelenbaba, Fred Hill, Dedric Willoughby and Levan Elston. What I wouldn't give for that lineup again. How much would that lineup cost in NIL money in today's world?

I'm not positive about this, but I believe that Lute Olson, Arizona's coach, may have addressed Coach's Committee members before the game, but it could have been another high-profile coach at another game.

I think you are thinking of Lou Henson.    He was one of the coaches who talked to the Coaches Committee.    He was engaging, funny and had a lot of stories about coaching.   Monte Towe was the UNO coach at that time.

One thing I do remember about the Lakefront Arena was when NC was in town for the final four.    Dean Smith was the coach and the volleyball nets were still on the poles in the auxiliary gym where they were practicing.    One of the UNO managers said he would remove the nets and Smith told him not to.   He said it would require the team to pay attention to what they are doing.    I believe that was in 1993.

It was a good meeting.    Loved his stories.    

Kermit Davis talked during another of Monte's coaches committee meetings.   

If I remember we had Wimp Sanderson at one meeting.   He was the coach at Ark LR during Joey's time.   

I think Tim talked at one of them when he came back with Iowa State.     

There were others I just can't remember all of them but they all were hoots.     The funny stories, the serious impact they made on some of their players and the camaraderie  the coaching profession had (and maybe still does) at that time was shared.     You could see they loved the competition but also enjoyed the relationships they developed during their playing and coaching careers.
