Sorsby debacle - privateerboy - 06-09-2026 So, does this Sorsby ruling now allow our former players/gamblers to sue for reinstatement? How do they get criminal records, and this guy gets to play? Maybe Bo will sue for more eligibility....!!! RE: Sorsby debacle - Steve - 06-09-2026 The NCAA gets its ass handed to it in court YET AGAIN. Is there any case they cannot lose? It's why I'm assuming Coleton Benson will be able to successfully sue for a fifth year of eligibility. I'd think his opponent is time, not so much the NCAA. We need a Judge Judy to rule on these matters. She doesn't take any crap from anyone.....hahaha! RE: Sorsby debacle - CatCam - 06-15-2026 The entire NCAA sports scene is a debacle. I would love to go back to a time when a coach or Athletic Director could recruit a freshmen and develop this player and the rest of a team for 4 years. This new system where you lose most of your team except 1 or 2 players every year is a disaster for college sports. I don't know how much more of this I can take. It will start to get reformed once the SEC and Big 10 decide they want it to be reformed. At that point, there will be some form of collective bargaining. What the college sports landscape will look like by then, I couldn't tell you. It does seem like this situation was the hard line for a lot of people in college sports -- you had several schools (including some Big 10/SEC schools I think) that were refusing to play Texas Tech. However, notably, it wasn't that the ruling was reversed; the NCAA didn't exactly win here, it just got to be too much heat for Texas Tech/Sorsby and everyone decided it wasn't worth the hassle and he might as well just go to the NFL. |
