The search committee will be chaired by Nick Mueller, a former UNO vice chancellor. Members include:
- Boysie Bollinger, a New Orleans business magnate and ally of Gov. Jeff Landry
- Bobby Savoie, Loyola University’s business dean, an LSU alumnus and prominent donor to UNO
- Dave Sherman, a New Orleans attorney and UNO business grad

- Gary Solomon, a New Orleans businessman and major UNO donor
- Larissa Littleton-Steib, chancellor of Delgado Community College
- Former state Rep. Jim Tucker of Algiers
- Chris Summa, Faculty Senate president
- Coleen Maidlow, Staff Council president
- Kamille Ison
- Mike Jackson, a New Orleans construction engineer and UNO alumnus
- Jeff Ehlinger, a New Orleans bank executive and UNO graduate
- Randall Langston, LSU New Orleans vice president of enrollment management
